You, church, the whole weekly thing. Does it make you feel better?
Yeah i guess it does.. It tells me that no matter what I do someone will always want me no matter what. It makes me feel safe and it saves me from being alone when everyone around me is to busy to notice. And not just the thing about loneliness, it saves me from the paralysing fear of death, and at the same time instils in me a fear more terrifying than any other, making me want to be a good person. It keeps me from straying, it provides me a way of life that just has to be right. Its like school you know? When you're always used to people telling you what do. What 'proper conduct' is. You don't need to think about it and it saves you the trouble cause you think "Hey, this can't be wrong right?" Even if the truth is that there's no proper way of living. That theres no white and black and no heaven or hell, no ubers of dinvinty and pure evil. It may sound like i'm hiding behind religion in blissful ignorance, but the truth is i'm using it to simply live my life in a way thats easier to admit to in the end.
So you don't believe that there's a God or a Lucifer? Isn't that belief a prerequisite for being a Christian? You need to being acknowledging that there is a God Almighty in a haven of light.
