i had a dream of you last night
and it was weird right
like all dreams are

you were at this shady pub with some friends of yours and i think my sis
and you were sitting at this round table
like a scene from a frank miller comic
and it was like you were gone and you had just jumped off a building

and this place right
it was in my head
or partially
nothing really made sense
like a rendezvous for lost souls
anyway i was kneeling at your feet
and i asked you why you jumped
and you said there wasn't any reason not to
and i started cryin on your lap
i said but i love you isn't that enough
i think you shook your head

and like a time and space lapse that dreams do,
i was on the phone with my sister
and you know that she was at that pub with you
so yeah she was gone too
and i said
you know i fucking love you and i'll miss you
and i she said there'll always be a next time
i think

i woke up and thought
yeah i love that girl
and i don't mind doing anything for her

weird. for someone who doesn't believe in things like this
